Warner Bros. Ranch Building 2R

Risha Engineering performed complete structural design and construction support services for this new three story 40,000 square foot building. The facility is used for production offices and editing. The client’s requirements included the selection of an economical and efficient structural system. After evaluating several concrete and structural steel systems, a hybrid system was selected. It consists of reinforced concrete masonry bearing and shear walls, with steel framing to support the gravity loads. This system provides the building envelope and the required performance objectives for lateral and vertical loads.

The mechanical components were located on the roof, surrounded by a tiles mansard structure, that screened the units, and added a desirable architectural feature on top of the building.
