Design-build delivery method for the construction of police substation consisting of a two-story command center near the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority with a three-story parking garage. The facility provides 25,827 sf of office, briefing, locker, and interrogation space. It is a steel-framed building with composite steel beams at the second floor and bar joists in the roof. The building system is a Special Concentrically Braced Frame in accordance with the AISC Seismic Provisions. The parking garage provides 300 spaces for police cruisers and other vehicles. It is a bearing wall system with intermediate precast shear walls.
